lol laaawdy
want to man up, cheat on your wife?
no thanks Fonterra.
A knee to the groin of political correctness. Nice one.
Oh Dear all jokes aside, what has being a man go to do with shagin the other woman. These guys must be f…in desperate for sales…and I mean desperate!
WTF.
Oh I get it any publicity is good publicity – desprate times for MF = desperate advertising.
Its sad to see a bogun product trying to make good off the back of the event. Very fu…in sad indeed.
Please don’t play the where’s your sense of humour card this is just shite a bit like the place you find yourself in as of late.
1.25 for God’s sake relax and have a laugh. Oh my God I said God that’s blasphemy-string me up and hang me out to dry!
Nice to see Marketforce milking a good news story and banging away a quick topical ad.
1.25 and 3.52 interesting comments. A bit mental and bitter but someone has got to keep Perth advertising dull and bland. So keep the attitude coming.
Well done Andrew and Murray for being proactive and getting the ad out there.
3:52, apt but ouch!!
4:30, your comments and campaigns like this are just the reason why Perth remains the joke of the industry. Pff….
5.31 is that goats cheese in your quiche or fetta?
Like the topicality, don’t like the ad.
5.31 if it wasn’nt for the great work Andrew and his team have consistantly pumped out over the years the industry over here would know little of yours let alone consider it a joke.Keep up the good work Mf, you may live in a town of knockers but you’ve many admirers over here and beyond.
Great to see topical ads get up. Well done Brownes for getting involved.
6.51am
“a town of knockers”?…Using colloquialisms like degrades the female anatomy and simultaneously objectifies women in the eyes of men. It is this misogynistic misappropriation of language that continues to make Perth a laughing stock among our fully reconstructed post-feminist eastcoast counterparts
I loved seeing this in yesterday’s paper. Great work getting in so quickly. 3:52 – Grapes a little sour??
lol. its blunt and is moderately funny today. gone tomorrow. ffsakes what more do people want for the target market. client approved it – good luck to them.
It always amuses me that when people have a genuine negative reaction to ads on this blog, they’re bombarded with insulting responses from people who can only be connected to the ad in some way or another.
In this case, sure, Marketforce are most likely proud of their work, Andrew is a well respected creative, but this ad was always going to run the risk of some people finding it insulting, tedious or just plain unoriginal.
Jumping on the band wagon is all well and good, everyone resorts to it from time to time, but if you actually had something original to say you wouldn’t need to go there.
As for 6:51, not everyone over east are admire this work, so speak for yourself.
I would not read this ad and think that Brownes Chill supports infidelity. It’s cheeky but it’s not something to get your panties in a bunch about.
I agree it could have been done better, like
“Congrats to all the brave chilean miners (especially to the thirty-third man). ”
If you had the facts you would know the last man to be rescued was Luis Alberto Urzua, 54, a shift foreman at the time of the collapse. He is widely credited with helping the men survive by enforcing tight rations of their limited food, lights and other supplies.
Now that’s a fine example of manning up.
I just like seeing topical ads get up. I’ve tried in the past and usually something gets in the way (client, suits, money, time). Yes, this maybe could have been better but pats on the back to Andrew, Murray and the client for getting this in the paper.
this ad/entire campaign doesn’t make Perth advertising any less bland and boring…
Let’s just put a crass joke in the paper and slap a milk carton on it. I’M SOLD!
8:06 – could it just maybe the idea or execution that gets in the way? Maybe its a great idea, but not on strategy! Money is rarely a reason, just an easy out..
Congrats to MF and the client for the timing…although not sure if cheating on your wife supports the “Manning Up” strategy…I am with CW, why not highlight the 33rd man out, the guy with the balls to ration food, light and their supplies…Now that is “Manning Up”..
I also wanted to add, a big thank you to the client – Perth needs more creative opportunities and clients like you.
12.52, thanks for the support.
To Tinning: I’m available to work and I’ve got a creative partner.
