Bam Creative scores two finalists in national website design prize
Western Australian employee-owned website design and development company, Bam Creative, has two finalists in the prestigious McFarlane Prize for website design.
The McFarlane Prize “… rewards excellence in web design in the broadest sense, from the appropriate use of technology, to design aesthetics, to its impact more broadly on the web. The Prize is a showcase of the best in Australian web design, to inspire other Australian developers in their own endeavours.”
There are six finalists for the 2010 prize, with Bam Creative being the only company having two finalists and the only Western Australian company on the list at all.
Bam Creative managing director, Mile Burke, said with many hundreds ofentries to this popular award, having two entries as finalists out ofthe six, is no minor feat.
“I’m proud of the work that we do as a small company, and it is verygratifying when we receive kudos from our peers within the industry. Itis also exciting to see that a third of the finalist websites come fromsuch a small industry base as Western Australia as well.”
The winner of the McFarlane Prize will be announced at the annual WebDirections South conference in Sydney, NSW, later this week. The twowebsites which Bam Creative became a finalist are their own website, Bam Creative as well as client website, Global Superannuation Services.

Founded in 2002, Bam Creative became a majority employee-ownedorganisation at the start of this year, with a number of employeesbecoming shareholders in the company. One of the most awarded webcompanies at the annual Australian Web Awards since they wereestablished in 2005, the two finalist positions in the 2010 McFarlanePrize adds further weight to their list of successes.
