Longtail, 303 Sydney make IAB Australia Awards 2010 shortlist
Longtail is the only Perth agency to make the list of 21agencies selected as finalists for the 2010 IAB Australia Awards. It is a finalist in the Rich Media & Digital Video category with Dale Alcock ‘Zoom’, which won Best of Year at the Campaign Brief Awards in March.
303 Sydney is a finalist in the Not-for-profit/Public Service with its ‘Jesus. All About Life’ campaign for the Bible Society of NSW. The campaign used a concept developed by 303 Perth-based creative Richard Berney.
Mediacomand Publicis Mojo, Melbourne secured the lion’s share of finalists, taking six and fournominations respectively. In total, 182 entries weresubmitted and reviewed by a panel of more than 60 judges looking for the mostinnovative and effective online advertising and marketing campaign.
Thewinners will be announced at a ceremony in Sydney on Thursday 22 July2010 at the Hordern Pavilion. Tickets are available for purchase fromthe Awards website – www.iabawards.com.au.
PaulFisher, IAB Australia’s CEO, said the 2010 Awards judges have laudedthe entries as the highest quality work they have ever seen submittedfor online campaigns.
“Creative campaigns with welltargeted execution and clearly documented results created a smoothjudging process for all concerned,” said Fisher. “This general improvement, combinedwith the sheer number of entries demonstrates the growing commitment byadvertisers and their agencies to investing their valuable marketingbudgets where they get the best results – online.”
TheBest of Show Award will gain entry into the IAB’s US MIXX Awards inSeptember 2010. Last year’s entry won Best in Show in New York. Inaddition to this, the Creative Showcase quarterly winners will vie forCreative Showcase Grand Prix Award also to be announced at this year’sIAB Awards.
