Marshall to succeed John Driscoll as PADC Patron
OMD WA Managing Director Adam Marshall (pictured) was announced as the new Patron of the PADC at last night’s annual general meeting, and will succeed Marketforce chairman John Driscoll in the role.
The Patron’s role is to secure sponsorship for the PADC’s activities from local media organizations and is pivotal to the Club’s financial health. Driscoll will work with Marshall to ensure an orderly transition over the next year.
Driscoll is credited with saving the Club, stepping in as patron three years ago when it was on the brink of financial collapse.
The PADC is now in a strong financial position. President Andrew Tinning and Club Manager Karen Marks told the very well attended AGM that it had an operating profit for the period ended April 30, 2010 of more than $36,000.
Tinning said they had struck the right formula for the Club’s twoprincipal events – the Festival of Ideas weekend at Yanchep and thePADC Awards night – and would be following a similar approach this year.
Apart from Marshall, the only other changes to the Committee were theresignations of Brand Agency Planning Director Paul Yole and Blockprincipal Mark Braddock, who stepped down after two and three yearsrespectively on the committee.
They have not been replaced so the Committee is:
• Andrew Tinning (Marketforce) – President
• Adam Marshall (OMD) – Patron
• Jeff Champtaloup (Braincells)
• Blair McLeish (Curtin)
• Mike Sequeira (303)
• Danielle Glenister (The Brand Agency)
• Brett Wheeler (Rare)
• Julia Elton-Bott (Marketforce)
• Karen Marks – Club Manager

Great work all on the PADC.
Good to see such a solid financial foundation for the year ahead.
How long has this guy been at OMD and then out of the blue a handball from Driscoll. Must be a super star!
Hardly a handball but rather a very well timed pass.
John did a fantastic job as club patron and its fair to say that without his efforts to secure ongoing comitment from our sponsors the club may have met the same fate as the ten pins did the other night. John has many other comitments and felt it was time to hand over the riegns to someone else.Adam is a super star-super smart and super enthusiastic about helping us continue to survive and prosper. And after the great job he did in a similar role for Oasis we felt he was the perfect candidate.
