‘Extraordinary’ taxi ride launch falls flat

WA Today reports that WA Tourism’s “Extraordinary Taxi Ride”, conceived by Host, Sydney, got off to a very flat start yesterday morning, when the RAC had to be called to jump start the taxi being used to promote the state’s natural beauty to the world. The multi-million dollar tourism campaign was due to start in a blaze of glory yesterday morning, with onlookers, dignitaries and local band Gyroscope gathered at Forrest Place to see taxi driver Doug Slater off.
The local industry still has it’s nose put out that the account was awarded to an Eastern States agency back in July last year.

Awesome for RAC! WA agencies should move on, clearly the client was not being serviced to a satisfactory standard here or they would have not moved interstate!
Noticed that it happened on Friday, there was an article in the West on Saturday and an ad from RAC also on Saturday stating that they fixed it? Definitely a stunt!
‘The local industry still has it’s nose’ should read ‘the local industry still has its nose…’ In this non-possesive usage, ‘its’ does not need an apostrophe.
Let’s stop spending money on tourism advertising and use it to fund better education. When I was young, we were taught grammar etc etc …… (drone of 6PR in the back of the cab, etc etc.)… kids of today …. bring back the cane…….
And the RAC just *happened* to have a brand new 4wd with 2 drivers show up to rescue them?

Its’ a pity teacher’s who should of been tort grammar when they were kids r teachers.
I live in WA and still have no idea what this campaign is about?? A lot of people thought that it was a new taxi service being offered. If the agency was in WA, they would have realised that WA is notoriously bad for Taxi’s. So this campaign essentially highlights one of WA’s worst assets. All in all 1/10. PS Well done to RAC very smart!
