PROMOTIONS MANAGER – THE WEST AUSTRALIAN
The West Australian is seeking an experienced and disciplined Promotions Manager who enjoys a role that offers variety, excitement and a challenge.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager you will be responsible for implementing and managing the day to day promotional activities for each of our core brands utilising all elements of the marketing mix. The role will also be tasked with identifying market and channel specific opportunities to grow circulation and readership in conjunction with the Marketing Manager. The planning, development and implementation of integrated promotional activity and communications will be key success factors in this role.
The environment is fast paced and extremely diverse and it is imperative that the successful candidate has excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, project management capability, a can-do attitude and actively takes a hands on approach to deliver results. A tertiary degree with at least 3 years experience in a similar position is mandatory.
Publishing or media experience whilst beneficial are not prerequisitesfor this role and therefore candidates from outside the industry areencouraged to apply.

JUNIOR / MID-LEVEL STRATEGIC PLANNER – BLOCK
This role provides support to the lead strategist in delivering marketing and brand planning services to integrate business and communications strategies.
Qualifications/Experience
- 2-4 years of brand and marketing planning and research experience
- Proven experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Bachelors degree

Key responsibilities
- Coordination and development of strategic brand and marketing reports, presentations and proposals
- Participate as part of the agency pitch team in drafting and presenting strategies in new business presentations
- Together with the lead strategist, provide an understanding of the target customer and the brand throughout the entire strategic development process
- Have an integrated vision and point of view on the brands’ entire communications mix
- Have the ability to address complex problems and propose viable solutions through analysis of key research and data sources on an on-going basis
- Support the Creative Team throughout the creative development process (provides research results and other stimulus materials)
- Together with the Creative Director, nurture and champion the “big creative idea”
- Lead the design and implementation of primary research as needed (in conjunction with Account Team/Client) based on excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills
