Digital agency SUMO has moved to a new home in Leederville and it’s three times the size, catering for the company’s rapid and strategic growth.

Sumo HQ is now at  Level 1, 662 Newcastle Street, in one of Leederville’s prime positions with over 330m2 of light, modern space near the corner of Oxford Street. The team of more than 25 digital specialists and support staff occupy the entire first floor.

General manager Chris Braine says the business and the industry will only continue to grow.

“This move is absolutely strategic and will provide a physical platform for further expansion. Prior to this, our team was split over two levels and that obviously wasn’t ideal.

“This is an exciting step for SUMO, it cements our place here inLeederville and it has given us the chance to create an officeenvironment that fits with the style of our business and encouragescreativity amongst our team.”

A recent report released by recruitment agency Aquent found that 55% ofAustralian digital agencies plan to hire permanent staff before the endof 2009. Braine said SUMO also had its eye on growth.

“The digital industry is continuing to grow rapidly and there is somuch opportunity as marketing and communication budgets shift fromtraditional mediums. Most businesses should engage a digital specialist on some level in the near future if they haven’t already.”
