Congratulation to Brand and ouch for Marketforce after LandCorp went to Brand and they lost WA Tourism and SGIO. Just like the song, ‘… nothing lasts forever …’ probably time for MF to think about their own team!
You may not remember 8:50 but Tourism pitch was declined by MF and SGIO was a rationalisation to the East Coast. Congrats to Brand but a bit early to write off an agency like MF.
whatever the circumstances, they’ve still lost some massive accounts in the past year – agree it is a big call to write off MF but they must be looking ahead to the lotterywest pitch with a great deal of trepidation.
no pressure on that one guys.
To 6:56, the whole incident proves that there is no such thing as loyal client/customer.
If you see the deli next door selling cheaper fruit with same quality, you will shop there instead of your usual shop. I think the saga is, by using the above allegory, if that deli sells fruit with same price but better quality, you will def. shop there. And if it sells them with reasonably higher price with better quality, then it all depends on what you are looking for. I do not know why GESB goes for Brand but that might be a few good reasons behind them to break the long term relationship with MF, and I believe probably price might not be the most important issue.
In Perth most agencies think clients are price-driven, and they try to screw the price down to the lowest to compete with each another, but how can you achieve this? Let the quality experienced people go, hire new comers and then hopefully they will be a bunch of cheap and cheerful bargain.

I’m starting to feel sorry for Marketforce.
CONFIDENCE!
wow – another one bites the dust!
Interesting how this was up as an advance notice tender on the govt tender website, then suddenly disappeared?
ouch, that will hurt MF. they’ve done well with GESB.
