The campaign resulted in 81 shares, more than 1,500 reactions, and over 1,000 people being tagged by their friends and loved ones, reaching more than 175,000 people.

In New Zealand, the What a Pair campaign, reaching more than 130,000 people and raising $2,500 for local breast cancer charity Sweet Louise bringing total donations since last year to $5,140.

Ross Fitzgerald, Chief Sales Officer/Founding Director of Steel Blue, expressed his gratitude to New Zealanders and Australians for their overwhelming support of the What a Pair campaign. He highlighted the significant impact of the funds raised, stating, “The $2,500 donated to Sweet Louise will help buy groceries and petrol for 12 families, at a time when a terminal cancer diagnosis may well have left them struggling to make ends meet.”

“The amount of $7,500 raised during the campaign will enable Breast Cancer Care WA to support around 10 clients with a combination of nursing and counselling over the course of their treatment which is a great result,” said Mr. Fitzgerald.

Steel Blue’s commitment to breast cancer awareness extends beyond the What a Pair campaign. The company includes a shower tag in every box of their pink work boots, providing instructions for conducting a breast self-check. This initiative aims to promote early detection, as early diagnosis is crucial in the successful treatment of breast cancer.

Sweet Louise supports 760 women and their families in New Zealand by offering one-to-one emotional and practical support. Similarly, Breast Cancer Care WA provides essential support to approximately 1,400 families each year, with every $1 donated delivering $4.43 worth of social value to Australians.

Although the What a Pair campaign has come to a close for this financial year, fundraising efforts continue throughout the year with the sale of Steel Blue’s Zip pink boots. Each purchase of these vibrant boots contributes $10 to the respective breast cancer charities.
