Creativity is at the core of Significant Other Creative Agency launch
Significant Other Creative Agency officially opened its doors on King Street in the city earlier this month. The new independent advertising agency from creative leads Matt Wilson and Luke Williams and Client Services Director Caitlin Totten aims to bring good brands and good people together through creativity.
“We love what we do and hopefully that shines through in the way we approach each thing that we do”, said Wilson and Williams. “Creativity is the most powerful thing you can harness. It’s the best way brands can differentiate, create true human connections and be remembered. Creativity is the thread that runs through everything we do here.”
Totten, a Client Services Director who’s helped build some of WA’s most recognised brands including Lotterywest, HBF, Transperth and Kailis Jewellery will head up the Account Management side of the business.
Totten said: “We feel this is a really exciting offer for our partners. For brands, this is a chance to build a lasting relationship with forward thinkers who have genuine creative DNA and a desire to do good.”
Creatively, the Agency partners have worked with iconic Western Australian brands including Synergy, Horizon Power, iiNet, Lotterywest, HBF, Foodbank, Bunnings, Kleenheat, St John WA and West Australian Ballet, and international clients Nikon, Kellogg’s, Visa and the International Red Cross.
Last year, Williams and Wilson were recognised as the industry’s Art Director and Copywriter of the year respectively at the PADCs, with Williams also taking home the Diamond Skull.
In addition to the recent local accolades, the pair have been awarded at all major international shows including Cannes, D&AD, One Show, Clio’s, LIA’s, WARC and the APAC Effie’s.
Wilson said “the wider industry has been very supportive of their decision to move out of Wunderman Thompson and start their own company.”
“It’s been very encouraging. We’ve had talented people from across all business sectors come out of the woodwork looking to collaborate and offering their well wishes,” said Wilson, who also hinted at some exciting announcements coming soon including a pitch win.
