Block has been asked to make a few presentations to Eastern-States-based clients looking to enter the Western Australian market, so they put together this little intro to WA video for them.
The video has generating nearly 15,000 views on Youtube over the weekend.

Ok so I admire so much of what Block does around good design, WA and a stronger industry, but this is about as turgid as it gets. Sometimes you just need to know when to scrap a project.

@Admirer, Turgid? Yeahnah mate, that’s a shit take hey. This is so well-written. This kind of satire is hard to get right, but Block have totally nailed it. Playing this for non-WA clients before a presentation would do wonders. Plus, it’s about to go viral, which 100% would not happen if it didn’t resonate. It’s funny, clever and takes the piss in the best way possible. Maybe you didn’t understand the references? Or it hit too close to home…
I think this will play brilliantly “Over East”, and shave close to the bone here. Perfect combination.

It’s ridiculous that in this industry we have to chop each other down. This was very well done, and as others have said risky to take on and tough to execute. Tread a fine line very effectively, and I expect will be equally appreciated whether one resides in either of our the great nations. It’s ok to appreciate something you didn’t make yourself.
